Dharamshala, March 14: The 9th convocation ceremony of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh was held in Dharamshala on Saturday with great enthusiasm and academic pride. The Vice-President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest.
During the ceremony, hundreds of students from different faculties were awarded undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil., and doctoral degrees. Several meritorious students were also honoured with gold medals and academic distinctions in recognition of their outstanding academic performance.
A number of prominent dignitaries attended the event. Among them were Kovind Gupta, Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur, Leader of the Opposition in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, and Anurag Thakur, Member of Parliament and former Union Minister. Senior officials of the university, faculty members, students, and their families were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, the Vice-President congratulated the graduating students and encouraged them to apply their knowledge and skills for the progress of society and the nation. He emphasized the importance of innovation, research, and ethical values in education, urging young graduates to contribute positively to the countryโs development. University officials described the convocation as an important milestone for the institution and its students.
The ceremony celebrated the academic achievements, dedication, and hard work of the graduates, marking a significant step in their professional and academic journeys.
