Taking a major step toward achieving self-reliance in green energy, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Green Mobility Initiatives in Hansalpur, Gujarat. Speaking at the event, he noted that amidst the festive spirit of Ganeshotsav, India is adding a new milestone to its ‘Make in India’ mission. He emphasized that this development represents a significant move toward the vision of “Make in India, Make for the World.” The Prime Minister further announced that from today onward, India-made electric vehicles will be exported to 100 countries.

The Prime Minister shared a post on X, stating that “A new chapter begins in the ‘Make in India’ journey as electric vehicles made here will now be exported to over 100 countries”.

The Prime Minister emphasized that India’s journey of progress will not stop here, stating that in sectors where the nation has already excelled, the aim is to reach even higher levels of achievement. He underscored that the government is placing Mission Manufacturing at the core of this vision to fuel growth. Highlighting the country’s shift towards emerging and futuristic industries, he pointed out the rapid strides being made in the semiconductor sector, with six plants planned across different regions. PM Modi reaffirmed India’s strong commitment to further strengthening semiconductor manufacturing in the nation.
