Sanjay Kapoor, the spokesperson for AICC and former MLA from Rampur in Uttar Pradesh, has arrived in Kangra today as the election in-charge. He visited Dharamshala, where he addressed the media and expressed his gratitude for being given the responsibility of overseeing the election of a prominent political figure Anand Sharma.

Kapoor said, that “Kangra is fortunate to have a candidate of such national and international repute. Sharma has extensive experience in government and organization including ministerial and leadership positions”.

Anand Sharma is a skilled spokesperson with a good reputation and great rapport with people. If the All India Alliance government is formed, Sharma will undoubtedly become a Union minister and raise Kangra’s long-standing issues, he added.

Former Union Minister Anand Sharma has been chosen as the Congress candidate for the Kangra Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh. Elected to the Rajya Sabha in 1984, Sharma is now taking part in his first Lok Sabha elections this year. He previously contested the 1982 Himachal Pradesh Assembly election in Shimla, where he unfortunately lost to BJP’s Daulat Ram Chauhan.
