Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang arrived at Kangra airport on Thursday by plane from Delhi to meet Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama. Upon arriving at airport, he was welcomed by people wearing traditional Sikkim costumes. The staff at Kangra airport welcomed the Chief Minister of Sikkim by showcasing Himachali culture. Following this, the convoy of Sikkim’s Chief Minister headed towards Dharamshala.

Speaking to the media after arriving at Kangra Airport, Tamang said that, “I have come to meet His Holiness Dalai Lama for his blessings. This is a ‘Dharmik’ visit. Sikkim is an integral part of India, despite any claims made by China. We are proud to be a part of the diverse country Bharat. Any false claims made by China hold no truth in reality”.

The CM said that during his meeting with the Tibetan spiritual leader, he would extend an invitation to him to visit Sikkim.

After meeting the Tibetan Spiritual Leader Dalai Lama, he and his family will also visit the famous temples in the Kangra district and receive blessings from the deities, he added.
