Today, at Himachal Pradesh Central University, Dharamshala, Vice Chancellor Sat Prakash Bansal planted a sapling on the premises of the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat as part of the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.”

On this occasion, Dr. Sunita Bansal also planted a sapling. All the Deans, Heads of Departments, students of the School of Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Management, and students of the National Service Scheme, along with researchers from the Hindi Department and Deendayal Upadhyaya Study centre, were also present.

“Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” is an initiative that focuses on tree plantation and environmental conservation. Launched as part of broader efforts to promote a green and sustainable environment, this initiative encourages citizens to plant trees in honour of their mothers.

The campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,’ initiated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has now become a mass movement. Today, people are participating in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, paying respect to their mothers and Mother Earth by planting trees.
